Community Opthalmology Services Must be Funded

Community ophthalmologists provide a vital service to many people across Wicklow. Recently , I experienced first hand the professionalism and quality of care which they offer. It is very important that these services are adequately funded in response to rising costs. I recently raised this issue with the Minister for Health and I welcome his commitment to carrying out an evaluation of the scheme. I hope to see progress on this matter soon.
