Holy Rosary School Selected for Pathfinder Retrofit Programme

It was a pleasure to visit Holy Rosary School  in Wicklow Town to meet with the school principal - Brendan Roache and the school maintenance manager - Peter. This school has been selected under the Department of Education Pathfinder programme which will see it get a full retrofit including insulation, new windows, a vastly improved heating system and an array of other measures to improve the BER rating of the school. This will have huge positives in the long run not only in cutting their energy bills but hugely improving the wellbeing of staff and students in a well heated, modern and environmentally sustainable building. I will continue to push for other Wicklow schools to be considered in the next round of funding but ultimately it is the goal to include all schools that need this work done.
