We need to prioritise Solar Panels for Schools

In the last budget, the Government confirmed that free solar panels would be rolled out to every school in the country and while they are making progress behind the scenes, I want to ensure that we see this happening as soon as possible. Putting schools at the forefront of Ireland’s decarbonisation efforts makes perfect sense. By moving away from our reliance on fossil fuels, we can ensure a bright and sustainable future for generations of Irish children. I look forward to seeing solar panels on the roof of every school around Wicklow soon and I have called on the Minister of Education to ensure that this process to be prioritised and completed without delay.
